Schools
School bookings: book the whole season online
Schools are not charged a facility hire fee at Narromine or Trangie. You only pay student entry, THRIV3 lifeguards when you book outside opening hours, and the carnival fee for a swimming carnival.
Lane or pool booking during opening hours
Book a 25m lane (Trangie), a 50m lane (Narromine) or the Learn to Swim pool.
What you pay
- •Entry only: $4.30 per student (season pass holders are not charged)
- •No hire fee
- •No lifeguard charge
The pool is open to the public at the same time, so your school shares the water and our lifeguards.
School Out of Hours Hire
Sole use of the pool outside public opening hours for lessons, squad or sport.
What you pay
- •Entry: $4.30 per student
- •THRIV3 lifeguards: $52 per lifeguard per hour, 1 lifeguard per 20 swimmers
- •No hire fee
Lifeguards are added as a required extra when you book. Teachers and volunteers do not count towards the ratio.
School Carnival Hire
Sole use of the whole centre for your swimming carnival, booked in 6 hour blocks.
What you pay
- •Carnival fee: $253 (full fee, not pro rated)
- •THRIV3 lifeguards: $52 per lifeguard per hour, 1 per 20 swimmers
- •Entry: $4.30 per student, spectators free
Carnivals can be booked at any time, inside or outside opening hours. Lifeguards are always required for a carnival.
How to book as a school
- 1
Create a free THRIV3 Aquatics account for your school (one account per school, in the school's name). Tell us it is a school account when you sign up, or email us, and we will set the account to the School rate so the correct fees show online.
- 2
Log in and open Book Narromine or Book Trangie below. Choose School Out of Hours Hire, School Carnival Hire, or a lane or pool for an in-hours booking.
- 3
Pick your dates and times. You can book every session for the whole season in one go by adding each date to your cart before you check out.
- 4
Enter your student numbers. For out of hours and carnival bookings add the lifeguards you need: 1 lifeguard per 20 swimmers, for every hour of the booking.
- 5
Pay by card at checkout, or choose to pay at the counter. Entry can also be paid on the day, and students with a season pass are not charged entry.
- 6
Upload or email your public liability certificate ($20 million), risk assessment, WWCC numbers for supervising staff and the name of your First Aid Officer before your first booking.
Worked examples
30 students, 1 hour, during opening hours
Entry 30 x $4.30 = $129. Nothing else to pay.
30 students, 1 hour, outside opening hours
Entry $129 plus 2 lifeguards x 1 hour x $52 = $104. Total $233.
Carnival, 120 students, 6 hours
Carnival fee $253 plus 6 lifeguards x 6 hours x $52 = $1,872 plus entry 120 x $4.30 = $516. Total $2,641.
Students with a current season pass are not charged entry. Our team confirms your final total before payment. All prices include GST.
